CHAPTER UPDATES

The Diane Bonneau Scholarship: Enhance your Coaching Development!

Established in 2013 as a legacy to recognize Diane Bonneau’s (MCC, PMC) incredible contribution to local, regional and global coaching communities and as a strong supporter of coach development and training herself, this scholarship supports the ongoing professional development of ICF Calgary member coaches to expand their knowledge around core coaching competencies and related areas of study.

The 2020 scholarship will be awarded in November/December to support training in 2021.   The Calgary Chapter Board has approved a one time doubling of the scholarship to $1000 due to no award in 2019.  Submissions will remain open until November 1, 2020.

Take advantage of this incredible opportunity!  To apply, please visit the  Diane Bonneau 2020 Scholarship Award.

BOARD UPDATES

Message from our President

COVID-19: 6 months in; now what?

The first 3 months of COVID was a mad scramble! Everyone was rushing to adjust to work at home, online work environment, changes to schooling, leisure time, sports, and everything else. As the dust settled people started to adapt to be effective and gain normalcy whether it was to performance at work, a new workout routine or hobby, family and friends time in parking lots and zoom and everything between. Now, what?

New Goals

January 2020 goals reflect little of our current state. If you have not already done so, it’s time to make some new goals to hit for December 2020. There will still be a reason to celebrate at the end of 2020! We just need to calibrate expectations.

Give

So many people and organizations are in a challenging time. I saw a great post on LinkedIn where my colleague offered a reference, a connection, a pick me up conversation or a brainstorming session for people going through challenging times. There are lots of opportunities to support others through social media and other means.

Grow

Make plans to grow this fall. There are many great ways to develop professionally and personally. A great option is our Day with the Masters this fall; two great options for the price of one! (Option A and Option B). See you there!
