Self-Compassion and Self-Care for Coaches
As coaches, many of us have a deepened sense of compassion and caring for our coachees and others. But, what about for ourselves?

Well into the COVID pandemic many HR professionals (including those who coach) have, and are experiencing “compassion fatigue” and as we continue our lives under restrictions, Health Officials have encountered an “echo pandemic” of mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression, PTSD, and  sadly, suicide.

As an individual, it’s important to practice self-care, especially while we experience this new reality. And, just as importantly to have self-compassion. It’s often difficult to take the time for ourselves when we have loved ones to care for, adapt to new ways of working, being without work, and just adjusting to an ever-changing world.

We hope that you will join us for our next Leadership Perspectives Community of Practice (CoP) where we’ll share ideas and perspectives on the importance of self-compassion/self-care and how to develop strategies/practices for keeping “mentally fit” as we move forward into an uncertain, but brave new world.

If you’re a member of the ICF Calgary Chapter, a coach, coach in training, HR professional  and would like to receive a  Zoom invitation, please send an email to Jamie Davidoff at [email protected] or Colleen Lewis at [email protected]

We hope that you can join us!
