Our Chapter This Month
Our Board has been busy this summer, planning the year ahead. I’ve been inspired by the energy and commitment our Directors have brought through this season of warm evenings and time away.
A few updates to share:
Welcome to our newest Board members. Laurie Johnson and Deepak Jindal have joined our Board, filling the open positions we had for Secretary and Treasurer.
Laurie is a CEO, Executive Coach, and former ICF Chapter President in Saskatchewan who has joined us with a clear intention to give back. Her experience supporting executive team excellence will be invaluable as we work to strengthen our Board processes. Welcome, Laurie!
Deepak is an Executive Coach (PCC) who leads AI strategy and enterprise transformation at CGI. His strengths in building cohesive teams are already showing up in our Board conversations about what belonging means for us as a community. Welcome, Deepak!
ICF Converge. Last year, our Board allocated budget to send either the President or President-Elect to ICF Converge. We’ll be doing that again this year with an added commitment to share learnings back with our members through pre/during/post engagement. Follow us on LinkedIn and in this newsletter for updates!
Moving to a three-year strategic plan. This year we are introducing a three year strategic plan that will mirror ICF Global’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, and meeting face-to-face as a Board on October 3rd to solidify our vision.

Our why is delivering consistent value for every coach in Calgary and Southern Alberta. Wherever you are in your coaching journey, there is a place for you here.
Our how is about integration and sustainability: building a plan that we can deliver on, together, and that supports continuous programming year over year.
Our what will include a mix of familiar and new: online and in-person learning, credentialing supports, member engagement, and new community initiatives including our DEIB Lab.
One thing I’ve heard consistently from members is that you want to know our event calendar well in advance so you can plan your time. We’re working on that and will share it as soon as we can.
